About The Position
We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Inpatient Surgical RN to join a fast-paced Surgical Unit in Gainesville, FL. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse with experience in post-operative care, acute care nursing, and surgical patient management.
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license (or compact)
- 1+ year of RN experience (Med-Surg, Surgical, or Acute Care preferred)
- Strong skills in post-operative care, patient assessment, and time management
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced inpatient environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to post-surgical patients in an inpatient setting
- Monitor patient recovery, manage pain control, wound care, and post-op complications
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on post-operative recovery and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure compliance with protocols
