The Inpatient Surgical Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for individual patients/families. The role involves practicing according to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Hospital, and the patient service unit, and providing appropriate learning experiences for patients and families to promote wellness and achieve an optimal quality of life. Nurses are accountable for maintaining competence and developing their professional practice.
Requirements
- Current Certification of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential)
- Current CPR Certification (Essential)
- Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills (Essential)
- Demonstrated culturally sensitive approach to nursing care (Essential)
- Demonstrated strong family centered care skills (Essential)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year pediatric surgery experience (Preferred)
- Bilingual (English/ French) (Preferred)
Responsibilities
