Requirements

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
Current and valid RN license issued by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
Must pass the NCLEX-RN examination.
Complete criminal background check.
Meet continuing education requirements for license renewal.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Depending on specialty: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or other specialty certifications.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Medication administration knowledge and competency.
Documentation skills using electronic health record systems.
Ability to interpret lab values and diagnostic test results.
Time management and organizational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform other physical tasks.
Familiarity with New Jersey Department of Health regulations.
Compliance with New Jersey Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories.
Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Administer medications safely according to physician orders and protocols.
Perform treatments and procedures (wound care, IV starts, catheterizations, etc.).
Monitor patients' conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
