About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Inpatient Pediatric Operating Room team at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI. In this specialized role, you will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents undergoing surgical procedures. You’ll collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, techs, and Child Life specialists to ensure safe, patient-centered care throughout the surgical experience. Serve as a pediatric circulating nurse which includes 6 OR suites, 2 procedural suites, and 1 hybrid OR. Maintain a sterile and safe operating room environment, ensuring compliance with all safety and infection control standards. Advocate for pediatric patients and their families, offering emotional support, education, and clear communication.

Requirements

• Registration as a professional nurse in the state of Wisconsin Upon Hire
• CPR certification Upon Hire
• 6 months of relevant clinical experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Clinical operating room experience
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
