About The Position

This role involves delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in the Infusion Services department at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville. The Registered Nurse will provide direct, high-quality nursing care, implement and monitor patient care plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, execute medical orders, and coordinate discharge planning. The position is PRN with day shifts Monday through Friday, and requires availability on weekends and holidays as needed.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
1 year medical surgical or critical care experience

Responsibilities

Provide direct, high-quality nursing care tailored to individual needs, adhering to safety protocols to promote comfort, healing, and clinical excellence.
Implement, monitor, and adapt individualized care plans while tracking patient progress and communicating critical condition updates to ensure timely clinical decisions.
Serve as the primary advocate and central coordinator across all care disciplines, ensuring a seamless, well-aligned treatment journey for every patient.
Accurately carry out physician and nursing directives to maintain clinical momentum and protect patient safety at every stage of treatment.
Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs alongside the broader healthcare team, empowering patients and families for success beyond their hospital stay.
