About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in an Outpatient Infusion Unit, providing care to adult and geriatric patients. The role requires specialized knowledge of infusion therapies and the treatment of conditions including oncology, neurology, anemia, and gastrointestinal disorders. The position is located in City, State, with potential floating requirements to accommodate patient care needs.

Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Chemotherapy certification.
• At least one year of experience in outpatient infusion settings.
• Proficiency in using glucometers and other essential medical equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and administer blood products and perform other critical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and infusions according to established protocols.
• Monitor patient responses during infusion treatments and adjust care as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient care.
• Conduct patient assessments and maintain accurate medical records using EPIC.
• Use Alaris pumps, elastomeric pumps, and Omnicell systems for medication management.
• Educate patients about their treatment plans and medications.
• Care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing infusion therapies.
