About The Position

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to patients and families at a competent level, using the principles and practices of the nursing process. The nurse delivers safe and effective care and works with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. The role is associated with Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA), in the COL-3 Tower (DMC) cost center. A $30,000 sign-on bonus is offered to experienced new hires.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing.
• At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (or an AHA-recognized equivalent), or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to perform the listed physical and mental job functions, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted, and working effectively in stressful situations.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
