About The Position

The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment.

Requirements

• State Registered Nurse’s License and one year’s experience as a practicing Registered Nurse.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice in Washington D.C.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer two or more years of experience
• valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse II reports the Health and Wellness Manager (RN) and is a salaried exempt position.
• The Registered Nurse II supervises the day-to-day wellness clinic as well as the nursing staff.
• Works with the Health and Wellness Manager to ensure proper staffing of the wellness clinic.
• Share on-call responsibilities with the Health & Wellness Manager.
• The Registered Nurse II assists in the medical care and treatment of students; takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, dresses wounds and assist with student physicals.
• Administers specified medication and annotates time and amount on patient’s chart; maintains charts for trainees seen by medical personnel.
• Assembles, sterilizes and uses various medical equipment and supplies
