About The Position

The Registered Nurse II is accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in an acute patient setting. This role delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in an assigned area, and develops, implements, and coordinates a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors. The nurse fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications. The position requires adherence to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • RN - Registered Nurse of California - California Department of Consumer Affairs or RN-IP - Registered Nurse of California Interim Permit - California Department of Consumer Affairs
  • BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within six (6) months of start date)
  • Interpretation of Basic Arrhythmia Test (within six (6) months of start date)
  • 12 Lead EKG Interpretation Exam (within six (6) months of start date)
  • Anti-Arrhythmic / Hemodynamic Drug Test (within six (6) months of start date)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills
  • Effective English written and communication skills
  • Independently practices and prioritizes multiple demands in an ever-changing environment
  • Good interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of six (6) months area specific acute care experience within the last two (2) years
