About The Position

This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse, RN professional to work in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Loyola Medicine's 3 hospitals are located approximately 30 minutes from Downtown Chicago. MacNeal Hospital's Progressive Care Unit is a 25-bed unit that routinely cares for patients with complex medical conditions. Our unit specializes in angina, syncope, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, and pre/post cardiac intervention. MacNeal Hospital was recognized as a Magnet With Distinction Hospital in 2024. MacNeal nurses participate in shared governance and are active in practice-related decision making that influence their daily work. Requirements

  • A Degree from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN
  • BLS Provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
  • Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire
  • Certified in ACLS

Responsibilities

  • Perform EKG's
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms
  • Administer IV cardiac medications
  • Perform phlebotomy
  • Participate in shared governance and are active in practice-related decision making that influence their daily work
  • Make meaningful changes to process and policy to positively impact patient outcomes and their work environment
