About The Position

Join the Scripps Health team as a Registered Nurse in the System-Wide Resource Services (SSRS) department, supporting the entire Scripps Health system. As a member of the SSRS ICU team, you will fill vital roles on assignments throughout the system, providing critical coverage for employee leaves of absence, sick calls, and peak service demands. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of environments while providing direct patient care. You will be responsible for patient assessment, planning and implementing care plans, and evaluating patient progress. The RN takes primary responsibility for patient care delivered by the team under their supervision and collaborates with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. This is a permanent position for Scripps employees supporting day-to-day and short-term assignments, specifically seeking staff for night shifts.

Requirements

18 months of recent RN experience in an ICU department within a hospital setting.
Current CA RN License
Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS prior to start.
Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
Perform patient assessment.
Plan and implement a plan of care.
Evaluate patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
Take primary responsibility for patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision.
Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
Provide critical coverage for employee's leave of absences, sick calls, and peak service demands.
Float between all five Hospitals.
