About The Position

This role involves caring for critically ill patients who require longer-term hospitalization, including those needing respiratory failure/ventilator management and weaning, and those with multisystem complexities. The nurse will implement and monitor patient care plans, record and communicate patient conditions, serve as a primary coordinator for interdisciplinary patient care, note and carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
RN ICU/Progressive care experience

Responsibilities

Care for critically ill patients needing longer term hospitalization such as respiratory failure/ventilator management and weaning, and multisystem complexities.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
