About The Position

This role involves acting swiftly to reduce incidents of cardiac arrest and minimize ICU transfers, potentially saving lives. The Registered Nurse will enhance patient safety by early identification of critical issues such as respiratory distress and sepsis, preventing escalation into more severe conditions. They will provide comprehensive support and information to bedside staff and patients’ families, ensuring they are well-informed about the patient’s status and treatment options. The nurse will collaborate with bedside nurses by sharing the workload during emergencies, enabling them to attend to other patients and support doctors, especially during high-demand periods like nights and weekends. This position also aims to boost nursing staff's confidence in recognizing patient deterioration, adding an essential layer of safety in patient care.

Requirements

  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

  • 5+ years of recent ICU RN experience
