Registered Nurse-I1 Observation
About The Position
At Henry Ford Hospital, nurses strive to provide exceptional patient care and are encouraged to participate in quality assurance activities, research, and shared governance. Nursing practice is guided by evidence-based practice, professional practice standards, and the Henry Ford Hospital Professional Nurse Practice Model. The Registered Nurse provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. The role uses the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and teaching for patients and families. The nurse communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team, participates in identifying solutions when patient goals are not met, and ensures those solutions are implemented. This position is 36 hours per week, on midnight 12-hour shifts, with every-other-weekend and holiday rotations. It is a full-time position with a full-time benefits package.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- Health care provider certification (BCLS).
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
