About The Position

Tryfacta is seeking a Registered Nurse – House Supervisor for our client in Gouverneur, NY 13642. This is a 13 week contract assignment. The unit is a scattered bed unit that serves swing bed, detox, and medical patients. The hospital has day surgery only, a 7-bed ER, and a 25-bed inpatient unit that serves detox/swing/medical patients. The RN ratio on the inpatient unit is 1:6 during the day and 1:7 at night, with LPN support to assist with med pass and/or take ALC/swing bed assignments. The majority of the census is subacute clients who require rehab for debility, wound care, and long-term IV antibiotics. RT services are available Monday-Friday from 7 am to 3 pm. Bariatric equipment is rented when needed. There is no formal dress code, but scrubs are required.

Requirements

• Active NY State LPN License — required.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS required.
• 1 yr - House Supervisor or RN Manager experience.
• Locals Accepted: N - must be > 50 miles.

• Patient Diagnoses: CHF, Pneumonia, obs rule out for chest pain, syncope, diverticulitis, cellulitis, COPD, ETOH withdrawal, Opiate withdrawal, debility.
