About The Position
Espirita is seeking experienced, compassionate, and adaptable Registered Nurses to join a respected health system in Fairbanks, Alaska on a three-year contract. As an RN, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes. You will work in a program known for its commitment to patient-centered care and excellence in hospice services.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- NCLEX-RN successfully passed (or NCLEX study is in progress as a minimum)
- English proficiency (certification or native fluency)
- Minimum 24 months of recent Hospice or acute care experience
- Willingness to relocate to Alaska for a minimum of 3 years
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate end-of-life care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life
- Administer medications, manage pain and symptoms, and monitor patient status
- Offer emotional and educational support to patients and families during challenging transitions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, social workers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately and in real time
- Educate families on hospice philosophy, care plans, and what to expect during the end-of-life process
- Uphold rigorous standards of safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance in alignment with healthcare guidelines
