About The Position

Espirita is seeking experienced, compassionate, and adaptable Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses to join a respected health system in Fairbanks, Alaska, on a three-year contract. As an L&D RN, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality obstetric care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The facility is known for excellent nurse-to-patient ratios, strong clinical standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• NCLEX-RN passed (or actively preparing)
• English proficiency (certification or native fluency)
• Minimum 24 months of recent acute care experience
• Willingness to relocate to Alaska for at least three years

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
• Administer medications including oxytocin, epidural support, and pain management therapies
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and manage IV infusions and obstetric interventions
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Document labor progression, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly
• Respond rapidly to obstetric emergencies, including neonatal resuscitation and hemorrhage control
• Educate patients and families on labor expectations, newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
