About The Position

Espirita has an exciting life-changing opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Home Health Registered Nurse to join a non-profit community hospital in Alaska. This position requires a confident, skilled, and adaptable Medical/Surgical RN who can delegate appropriately and deliver care in line with hospital policies, procedures, and evidence-based practice. Successful candidates will be able to interpret assessment findings, diagnostics, and laboratory results, and escalate abnormalities to physicians and the wider care team. A strong commitment to ongoing professional development is essential, along with the ability to promote continuity of care through clear, accurate communication with RNs, LPNs, and other caregivers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate dedication to improving services, enhancing patient outcomes, and contributing to national nursing quality indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • NCLEX-RN passed
  • Alaska RN licence (or willing to obtain)
  • English proficiency (if required)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS/PALS or equivalent
  • Minimum 24 months of recent acute care RN experience
  • Ability and willingness to relocate for a minimum of three years

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
  • Perform wound care, change dressings, insert catheters, and initiate IV therapy
  • Monitor vital signs and promptly report adverse reactions to medications
  • Participate in discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team
  • Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and post-operative care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient files, charts, and health records
