About The Position

Hospice of Wichita Falls is seeking compassionate nurses to join their Homecare Team. The organization has been serving North Texas for over 40 years as the only non-profit community-based hospice. They provide services in private homes, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and a free-standing inpatient center across 12 counties. Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
• Current license by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
• Ability to understand the physical, psychosocial and spiritual concerns/and problems of terminally ill patients in a home setting
• Critical thinking skills
• Compassionate
• Effective Communication both written and oral

Responsibilities

• Ensure all patients visited have their nursing needs addressed or determine the need for other team members to assist.
• Assist the patient or family in determining the best plan of care that meets their needs.
• Direct other team members and ensure they are exceeding patient expectations.
• Process billing.
• Document care provided and ensure team members are also documenting their care.
• Focus on the patient's greatest need and providing 'Care, Hope, and Support for all when Illness threatens life.'
• Ensure the patient's experience is a positive memory for their loved ones.
