About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology and Hematology to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care for individuals diagnosed with hematological and oncology conditions, as well as palliative, hospice, and end-of-life care. This 21-bed unit specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of hematological and oncology diseases, providing comprehensive care including chemotherapy, symptom management, and supportive services for progressive diagnoses. Requirements

  • ADN or BSN required
  • 1 year of acute care nursing experience required
  • AHA BLS certification required at the time of submission
  • Kansas license or multistate license required (No license violations permitted)
  • Proof of immunity for Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella (via titer or vaccination completion)
  • TDaP vaccine required
  • Influenza vaccine (or exemption request) required during flu season
  • Documentation for TB required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in oncology/hematology preferred
  • Chemotherapy Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care for individuals diagnosed with hematological and oncology conditions, as well as palliative, hospice, and end-of-life care.
  • Administer chemotherapy, manage symptoms, and provide supportive services for progressive diagnoses.

  • Longer contracts of 26-51 weeks given priority
