This position reports to the Manager and requires the successful candidate to demonstrate clinical skills and knowledge in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients and families in Oncology, Hematology, and Nephrology. The role involves practicing according to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Hospital, and the Oncology PSU, providing learning experiences for patients and families, maintaining competence, developing expertise, utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate a team environment, and participating in Quality Improvement and Research opportunities.

Requirements

  • Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
  • Current Ontario Registration with the CNO (Essential)
  • Current BCLS certificate (Essential)

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) year paediatric experience (Preferred)
  • 6 months of Hematology & Oncology experience (Preferred)
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (Preferred)
  • APHON certification (Preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/French) (Preferred)
