About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Registered Nurse - Health Educator at Naval Medical Center San Diego in California. This position offers full-time employment, Monday through Friday, with shifts typically between 0600-2100 hours. Shifts are usually 8.5 to 9 hours, including a 30-60 minute unpaid lunch break. Occasionally, services may be required on Saturdays or Sundays between 0700-1300 for a 5.5-hour shift. Shifts can also extend up to 11.5-12 hours from Monday to Friday to meet departmental needs, including a 60-minute unpaid meal break. The Healthcare Worker (HCW) will not be required to provide services for more than 80 hours per two-week period. This role provides an opportunity to care for our Military men and women. Spectrum Healthcare Resources (SHR) was established in 1988 to deliver systems and processes designed to meet the unique needs of Military and VA Health Systems. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Community Health, Public Health, or a human service-related field.
One year of specialized experience as a Health Educator after graduation.
Graduation from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a clinic nurse in any state, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands.

Responsibilities

Serve as a Registered Nurse - Health Educator at Naval Medical Center San Diego.
Provide health education services to military personnel and their families.
Work within a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend requirements.
