About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Registered Nurse - Health Educator at Naval Medical Center San Diego in California. This position offers full-time employment, Monday through Friday, with shifts typically between 0600-2100 hours. Shifts are usually 8.5-to-9 hours, including an uncompensated lunch break. Occasional weekend services may be required (0700-1300). Shifts can extend up to 11.5-to-12 hours to meet business needs, with a 60-minute uncompensated meal break for 12-hour shifts. HCWs will not provide services more than 80 hours per two-week period. This role provides an opportunity to care for military personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Community Health, Public Health, or a human service-related field.
  • One year of specialized experience as a Health Educator after graduation.
  • Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a clinic nurse in any state, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Registered Nurse - Health Educator at Naval Medical Center San Diego.
  • Provide health education services to military personnel.
  • Work full-time, Monday through Friday, with potential for occasional weekend services.
