About The Position

This is a Full Time, Days position for a Registered Nurse in the GI Lab at Texas Health Plano. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care, focusing on basic human needs, human respect, affiliation needs, appreciation of unique meanings, mutual problem solving, attentive reassurance, encouraging manner, and creating a healing environment. Texas Health Plano is a 386-bed, full-service hospital serving North Texas, specializing in various medical services and holding multiple accreditations and designations, including Magnet designation. The GI Department is a fast-paced, high-volume department that promotes internal growth and offers education opportunities.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or Associate’s degree in nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
Other – CIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
1 year of experience a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

6-months direct Endo/GI Lab experience as a RN strongly preferred
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required
