The Registered Nurse - General Adult Unit is accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients. This role requires patient care and involves maintaining accurate, detailed reports and records, administering medications and monitoring patients for reactions, recording patient medical information and vital signs, monitoring and reporting patient conditions, and consulting with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. The nurse will also modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patient responses and conditions.
