About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join a surgical team. The role assists with surgeries, particularly total joint, orthopedic, gynecological, and general surgery cases, while providing exceptional patient care. The position follows a rotating 4x10 schedule, with shifts starting at 6:30 AM or 8:30 AM. On-call coverage is required one night per week and one weekend per month. The successful candidate will demonstrate collaboration, communication, and a commitment to continued professional development. The position is based at a facility in [City, State].

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of experience in a surgical setting, with expertise in scrub and circulate roles.
• Completion of an approved didactic RNFA course.
• Prior experience with the Epic electronic health record system.
• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) certification.
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) is required.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Responsibilities
