About The Position
This is a Registered Nurse position in a large and busy Emergency Department (ED) that handles high acuity patients. The ED is non-trauma but is Stroke and STEMI Certified. The patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics. The role requires specific certifications and experience with the Epic system.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- First-time travelers are not accepted.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- NIH certification required.
- PALS certification required.
- Experience with Epic system required.
- Experience in a high acuity, large, and busy Emergency Department.
- Experience with Stroke and STEMI certified facilities.
- Ability to work every other weekend.
- Willingness to work holidays as assigned.
- Ability to float within the facility and scope of practice as needed.
- Full compliance required to start on time.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Pyxis system.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients in a high acuity, large, and busy Emergency Department.
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, with an average daily census of 165-175 patients.
- Work within a Stroke and STEMI Certified facility.
- Float within the facility and scope of practice as needed.
- Work every other weekend unless specified otherwise.
- Work holidays as per the assignment period policy.
- Maintain full compliance for timely start.
- Undergo clinical screening for fit and final manager approval.
