About The Position

Seeking a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Room position. This is a 15-week contract with a hard start date of 12/14. The role requires experience with EPIC and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the ER. Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend and holidays. RTO must be submitted with the submittal, and no RTO will be accepted for the first two weeks of the assignment. A maximum of 3 days RTO is allowed for the entire 13-week contract.

• Experience with STEMI Certified Facility protocols.
• Experience with Stroke Certified Facility protocols.
• Experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with management of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with arterial line management.
• Experience with blood product administration.
• Experience with central line care/management.
• Experience with phlebotomy.
• Experience with starting IVs.
• Experience with continuous IV sedation.
• Experience with IV vasopressors.
• Experience with procedural sedation administration.
• Experience with CVA management.
• Experience with ICP monitoring.
• Experience with neuro-trauma.
• Experience with spinal cord injury management.
• Experience with traumatic brain injury management.
• Experience with ortho-trauma.
• Experience with head injury management.
• Experience with near drowning incidents.
• Experience with traumatic amputation management.
• Experience with isolation precautions.
• Experience with triage.
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP.
• Experience with interpretation of ABGs.
• Experience with gunshot wounds.
• Willing to work every other weekend.
• Willing to work holidays.
• Must be willing to work holidays.
• RTO must be on the submittal.
• No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.
• No more than 3 days RTO max for the contract.
• Ensure all dates needed off for the full 13 week contract are confirmed.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi setting.
• Manage non-trauma emergency cases.
• Provide care in a Pediatric Emergency Department.
• Respond to STEMI and Stroke alerts.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
• Manage arterial lines.
• Administer blood products.
• Perform central line care/management.
• Perform phlebotomy.
• Start IVs.
• Administer continuous IV sedation.
• Administer IV vasopressors.
• Administer procedural sedation.
• Monitor ICP.
• Manage neuro-trauma cases including CVA, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and head injury.
• Manage ortho-trauma cases.
• Provide care for near drowning incidents.
• Manage cases involving gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations.
• Implement and adhere to isolation precautions.
• Perform triage duties.
• Utilize CPAP/BiPAP.
• Interpret ABGs.
