Facilities with openings are: Rosebud Hospital (RBH), Rosebud, SD Pine Ridge Hospital (PRH), Pine Ridge, SD Cheyenne River Service Unit, Eagle Butte, SD Fort Yates Hospital (FYH), Fort Yates, ND Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility, Belcourt, ND

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in nursing.
At least one full year of professional nursing experience.
Current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
Minimum of 24 months experience in an Emergency Room environment during the last 36 months.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as approved by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Evidence of current immunizations.

Responsibilities

Obtaining patient history, assessing patients, and planning appropriate nursing care.
Documenting the plan of care and interventions in the patient's medical record, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Reassessing patient conditions and adjustment of care plans based on identified nursing problems.
Participating in discharge planning.
Initiation of life-saving measures in the absence of physicians.
Ensuring accurate and validated documentation.
Operating defibrillators, EKG machines, cardiac monitors, and other emergency technical equipment.
Caring for patients with specialized equipment such as Swan-Ganz catheters, central venous catheters, arterial lines, and mechanical ventilators.
Conducting regular assessments of intake and output.
Reviewing all laboratory data and electronic medical records.
Titrating medications.
Performing urinary catheter care, central line and ventilator care, skin assessments.
Initiating measures to prevent Hospital Acquired Pressure Ulcers (HAPU).
