About The Position

The EP Lab RN will work a 4x10 day shift schedule, from 08:00 to 18:30. This role requires participation in call, including one week of weekday call and one weekend of call every two months. Weekday call covers from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, and weekend call is 24-hour coverage. Call-ins are typically for pacemaker cases and last about 2 hours. The call volume is generally low. The position is for an ASAP start and requires 2 years of experience. The unit accepts first-time travelers. The Electrophysiology (EP) Lab handles special procedures such as Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal, Arrhythmia Induction, Baseline Measurements, Cardiac Ablation, Cardiac Mapping, Cardioversion, Conduction Studies, Insertion/Programming of AICDs, and Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience required
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • Epic proficiency
  • Electrophysiology (EP) Lab skills
  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing, Biology, or Chemistry, or a high school diploma if the higher education degree is in another field.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in weekday call every two months (6:30 PM–7:00 AM).
  • Participate in weekend call every two months (24-hour coverage).
