About The Position

This is a 4x9 hour shift position for a Registered Nurse in the Endoscopy department. The role requires the nurse to have an Illinois (IL) license in hand to be considered. A minimum of 1 year of experience is required, with previous charge experience being a plus. Previous travel experience is preferred. The position is Tuesday-Thursday, with 8 hours dedicated to procedures and the final hour typically spent assisting in the department. RTO (Request Time Off) must be discussed with the manager during the interview. Certification requirements include ACLS, BCLS, and experience with Cerner. Additional experience needed includes GI Lab, outpatient surgery, infusion, Olympus scopes, ERBE, polyp shares, foreign body equipment, opioid analgesics, reversal agents, colonoscopy, ERCP, EGD, and specimen handling/labeling.

Requirements

• Illinois (IL) license in hand

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures in the GI Lab.
• Assist in the department during the last hour of the shift.
• Handle specimen handling and labeling.
• Administer opioid analgesics and reversal agents.
• Assist with colonoscopy, ERCP, and EGD procedures.
• Operate Olympus scopes, ERBE, and foreign body equipment.
