About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Endoscopy unit. The role involves 10-hour shifts over 8 weeks, with varying days off based on department needs. The nurse will be required to be on call for weeknights, weekends, and holidays, approximately 4-6 shifts per month. Floating to Pre-Anesthesia/PACU may be required. Patient diagnoses include procedural-based conditions such as Pancreatic/Lung/Colon/Gastric CA, Polyps, Barrett's esophagus, and CBD stones/strictures/CA. Special procedures and unit details include EUS, ERCP, Navigational Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Manometry, and Fibroscan. RNs must have mandatory competency in phlebotomy and placing IVs. Special equipment used includes ERBE, Olympus scopes/processors, Super-D, Bravo, VCE, and Manometry.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience required.
• Mandatory competency with phlebotomy.
• Mandatory competency with placing IVs.
• ACLS required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Endoscopy unit.
• Perform phlebotomy.
• Place IVs.
• Be available for on-call duties, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Float to Pre-Anesthesia/PACU if needed.
• Operate and manage special equipment such as ERBE, Olympus scopes/processors, Super-D, Bravo, VCE, and Manometry.
