About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Emergency Room (ER) position for a 13-week travel assignment in Colebrook, NH. This is a CHARGE RN POSITION and candidates MUST have charge experience. The role involves keeping patients and their families informed, administering medication, using medical equipment, responding to health changes, managing emergencies, maintaining patient charts, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. The nurse will also be responsible for standing for long periods, lifting moderate weight, and working in environments with potential infectious materials. This position requires floating to Med/Surg & Stepdown units and willingness to care for Stepdown and Med/Surg patients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years current Emergency Room experience
  • Previous Charge experience required
  • Candidates must have 2+ years ER experience AND experience working in a Critical Access Hospital
  • Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
  • Active American Heart Association PALS certification
  • Active TNCC certification
  • Active and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  • Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
  • Able to adapt to stressful situations quickly and effectively
  • Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous travel experience highly preferred
  • Previous experience working in a Critical Access Hospital is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Keeping patients and their families informed about surgical procedures
  • Administering medication and using medical equipment under the direction of a surgeon
  • Responding to sudden changes in patients’ health and managing occasional emergencies
  • Keeping good records and maintaining patients’ charts
  • Using basic math skills adequate for dosage calculations
  • Working with surgeons, medical/surgical nurses and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op
  • Standing for long periods, lifting moderate weight and working in environments where there may be infectious material
  • Floating to Med/Surg & Stepdown units
  • Willingness to take Stepdown patient and help with Med/Surg patients
