About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will possess strong emergency nursing skills, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to manage high-acuity patients while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Requirements

Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) or higher from an accredited Nursing program.
Minimum two (2) years of recent Emergency Room experience.
Strong IV insertion and phlebotomy skills.
Experience with conscious sedation monitoring and patient care.
Current AHA BLS Certification.
Current AHA ACLS Certification.
Current AHA PALS Certification.
Current TNCC Certification.
Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration through NYSED.
Excellent critical-thinking, assessment, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers.
Experience working in high-volume urban Emergency Departments.
Strong rapid decision-making skills in high-acuity environments.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department.
Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritization of care.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments.
Establish IV access and perform phlebotomy procedures.
Assist with and monitor conscious sedation procedures.
Respond to trauma, cardiac, and other emergency situations.
Monitor and document patient conditions accurately and in real time.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and emergency department standards.
