About The Position

At St. Francis Hospital, one of our proud Magnet® hospitals, the Emergency Department has 48 beds. Our department services a wide variety of patients including the families from the north and eastern parts of Colorado Springs that are rapidly growing. Our main patient mix includes all patients across the lifespan with a high frequency of families, OB and children. We have a very collaborative and positive team. We look for candidates that want to be part of a team, help our department grow and have creative problem-solving skills. Qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience are eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus! Requirements

Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs
One year experience preferred
Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact

Nice To Haves

Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
