About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ED) at Texas Health Dallas will bring their passion to the team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume department averaging 200 patients per day. The position offers self-scheduling for work-life balance, opportunities for educational and career growth, and a robust Unit Based Council (UBC) with engaged leadership.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or Associate’s degree in nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • 1 year of experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
  • RN – Registered upon hire required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training annually within 90 days required
  • TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months required or ATCN – Advanced Trauma Care Nurse within 6 months required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of emergency department acute care experience strongly preferred
