About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality emergency care, including pediatric care, in a fast-paced environment. The facility is in City, State, and the Emergency Department has 64 beds. Patients include newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Specialty equipment includes a rapid infusor and Arctic Sun. The role involves caring for patients who may require SANE services and using EPIC EMR. The available shift runs from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM; block scheduling is not guaranteed. The required scrub color is navy blue.

Requirements

• Current and active RN license in New York.
• AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• At least 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience with pediatric experience.
• Evidence of travel nursing experience.
• Completion of a skills checklist matching the specialty.
• Ability to float to different areas as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a timely manner.
• Assist with triage and manage multiple patient cases effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and updated patient records using EPIC EMR.
• Participate in educational opportunities and professional development.
• Provide comprehensive care to assigned patients, including those requiring Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) services.
• Assess patients, develop nursing diagnoses, and implement an appropriate plan of care.
• Float to different areas as required.
