About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ED) at Texas Health Allen is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume department averaging 70-90 patients per day with a diverse patient population. This PRN/As Needed position offers flexible scheduling, opportunities for educational and career growth, and a supportive team environment. Texas Health Allen is an 88-bed, acute-care, full-service hospital serving Collin County since 2000, specializing in various advanced medical services and holding multiple accreditations.

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma, Associate’s degree in nursing, or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• 1 year of experience as a registered nurse.
• RN – Registered Nurse upon hire.
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire.
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within 90 days.
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days.
• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days.
• A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience as an RN in an acute care ED setting strongly preferred.
• TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course upon hire preferred.
