About The Position
Firelands Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Digestive Health department. This is a part-time position with 24 hours per week, working from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The role requires taking call with a 30-minute response time. Firelands Health is committed to supporting employees in managing their personal lives while building their careers. Requirements
- Current Ohio RN license
- ACLS prior to patient care experience
- Procedural call required after hours
- Current ACLS and Basic EKG required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience
- Board certification preferred within 2 years in area of expertise
- Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency
Responsibilities
- Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
- Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
- Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
- Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
- Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
