About The Position

Firelands Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Digestive Health department. This is a part-time position working 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 28 hours per week. The role involves taking call with a 30-minute response time and offers support for work-life balance. The position is located in Sandusky, a coastal town on Lake Erie. Requirements

Current Ohio RN license
ACLS prior to patient care experience
Procedural call required after hours
Current ACLS and Basic EKG required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.

Nice To Haves

Prefer at least 1 year of experience.
Board certification preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.
Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
