About The Position

Firelands Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Critical Care. This is a full-time position with rotating shifts from 7p-7a. The role involves implementing the nursing process, performing assessments, monitoring patient care, and educating patients, staff, and families. The nurse will also respond to emergencies, manage medications and supplies, and ensure a clean environment. The position emphasizes service excellence and acting as an ambassador for Firelands Regional Medical Center (FRMC). Requirements

  • Current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
  • Current ACLS, Basic EKG, and ECCO required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
  • Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of experience.
  • CCRN and TNCC certification is preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
  • Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
  • Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
  • Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
  • Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
