About The Position

This role involves leading and coordinating a centralized bed management system to streamline admissions, manage transfers, and maintain optimal hospital capacity. The Registered Nurse Coordinator will collaborate with clinical teams to track bed availability, anticipate discharges, and plan patient placements. They will also serve as an expert gatekeeper, evaluating incoming admissions and transfers for medical necessity and unit suitability, and provide direction, coaching, and support to Admissions Coordinators. The role also includes analyzing patient flow metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and formulating data-driven solutions for executive leadership.

Requirements

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
2-3 year's experience as RN in Medical Surgical, ICU, or Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities

Provide strong direction, coaching, and support to Admissions Coordinators, driving operational efficiency and fostering a supportive team environment.
Analyze key patient flow metrics, spot systemic bottlenecks, and formulate data-driven solutions to present directly to executive leadership.
