About The Position

ChristianaCare is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse Coordinator for the Hematology Oncology practice at the Helen F. Graham Center in Newark, DE. ChristianaCare’s Hematology–Oncology program delivers expert, compassionate care for patients with blood disorders and cancers, including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and MDS. Our fellowship‑trained specialists work within a multidisciplinary team to provide advanced diagnostics, personalized treatment plans, and leading‑edge therapies, including CAR‑T and stem‑cell transplantation. We are committed to whole‑person care, offering strong patient support services and navigation to ensure the highest quality cancer care—close to home. Hematology Oncology | ChristianaCare Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8a - 4:30 No holidays required.

Requirements

  • BSN required.
  • Three years or more of combined clinical experience; nursing experience in oncology preferred.
  • Multi-state RN License
  • BLS Required
  • Compassionate, clinically skilled professionals dedicated to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care across all age groups.

Responsibilities

  • Plays a key role in enhancing patient care coordination, quality, and communication across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensures seamless care delivery by collaborating with providers across oncology, radiation, surgery, and supportive services while tracking patient progress and serving as a primary point of contact for individuals with hematologic and solid tumor malignancies.
  • Provides comprehensive patient and family education, addressing treatment plans, side effects, and self-care needs throughout the cancer care continuum.
  • Supports clinical practice by offering solution-oriented care, serving as a resource to staff, and delivering direct patient care as appropriate.
  • Assesses patient needs, facilitates communication among providers, participates in interdisciplinary care planning, and maintains a strong commitment to safety, quality, and patient-centered outcomes.
  • Serves as both a patient advocate and educator, while also mentoring clinical staff and supporting team development.
