About The Position

Ensign Services, Inc.’s (ESI) Compliance Department is seeking a Registered Nurse - Compliance Partner. This is a field-based position that requires regular travel to assigned facilities. The role involves performing clinical compliance audits, conducting internal investigations under the direction of the associate and chief compliance officer, and reviewing and analyzing medical records and/or claims to detect possible compliance or quality issues. ESI provides back-office support to over 378 facilities in the long-term care continuum, focusing on areas such as accounting, compliance, human resources, and information technology. Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Nurse.
  • 1-2 years of nursing experience in the skilled nursing environment.
  • Candidates must live within close proximity to a major airport near Denver, CO or Grand Junction, CO.
  • Pre-employment criminal background screening required.

  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility required, 3-5 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and presents regular training on clinical compliance and general healthcare compliance topics.
  • Performs clinical systems compliance audits.
  • Reviews medical records to detect possible compliance or quality issues and works to assist operations to develop a corrective action plan to resolve the same.
  • Conducts internal investigations involving general compliance and clinical issues under the direction of a lead compliance partner or the Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Travel required 70% of the time within Colorado and surrounding areas/states.
