Registered Nurse - Compliance Partner
About The Position
Ensign Services, Inc.’s (ESI) Compliance Department is seeking a Registered Nurse - Compliance Partner. This is a field-based position that requires regular travel to assigned facilities. The role involves performing clinical compliance audits, conducting internal investigations, and reviewing medical records to detect compliance or quality issues. ESI provides service and support to over 378 facilities in the long-term care continuum. The compliance philosophy is to partner closely with field facilities to enhance and foster compliance throughout the organization, providing training, oversight, and auditing functions.
Requirements
- Must be a Registered Nurse.
- 1-2 years of nursing experience in the skilled nursing environment.
- Candidates must live within close proximity to a major airport in the Southern California area (Los Angeles, Ventura, Van Nuys, Irvine, Santa Monica, San Diego).
- Pre-employment criminal background screening required.

- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility required, 3-5 years is preferred.
- Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the skilled nursing industry.

Responsibilities
- Creates and presents regular training on clinical compliance and general healthcare compliance topics.
- Performs clinical systems compliance audits.
- Reviews medical records to detect possible compliance or quality issues and works to assist operations to develop a corrective action plan to resolve the same.
- Conducts internal investigations involving general compliance and clinical issues under the direction of a lead compliance partner or the Chief Compliance Officer.
- Travel required 70% of the time within California and surrounding areas/states.
