About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Clinical Nurse Trainer to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Broussard, Louisiana (Lafayette Parish). This position supports the development, facilitation, and evaluation of training programs for nurses within Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams. The ACT Clinical Nurse Trainer ensures that all training aligns with evidence-based practices, ACT model fidelity standards, and organizational goals, while also providing clinical oversight, documentation review, and ongoing education to nursing staff. The RN Clinical Trainer is responsible for the training of staff in the ACT/FACT product line, supporting the development of the employee and the quality of services delivered, and providing specialized training to nursing staff.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Louisiana.
  • Valid LA Driver's License and appropriate state and federal clearances.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in Behavioral Health.
  • Strong clinical judgment, coaching, and facilitation skills
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), Medicaid documentation, and outcome tracking systems
  • Knowledge of psychiatric nursing, psychotropic medications, and integrated care
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and travel as needed for mandatory trainings
  • Degree in Nursing
  • Current, active, and unrestricted RN license in the state of Louisiana
  • Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Nurse in a clinical setting

  • Background as a charge nurse, preceptor, unit educator, or clinical lead is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual and group clinical trainings, including initial and annual ACT model trainings for direct care staff in LA, VA, and PA
  • Provide coaching, supervision, and consultation to new and experienced nursing staff
  • Develop and implement training on psychiatric nursing, medication administration, chronic disease management, and integrated care
  • Review documentation for compliance with ACT model fidelity, Medicaid requirements, and clinical standards
  • Collaborate with ACT Regional Directors, Clinical Supervisors, and HR to address evolving program and training needs
