About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse Clinical Lead in the General Medicine and Surgery department at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. The position involves working 3 (12) hour shifts on the night shift (7 pm - 7 am) as a full-time employee. The Clinical Lead will be responsible for assigning, directing, educating, and monitoring nursing and support staff during their shifts. They will use independent judgment to plan shifts, services, and patient care, assess daily patient needs, and develop patient care assignments. The role also includes managing patient care complaints and ensuring the availability of necessary resources and supplies.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
Prior RN Clinical Lead Experience.
At least 3 years of RN experience.

Responsibilities

Assign, direct, educate and monitor nursing and support associates during assigned shifts.
Meet with staff and exercises independent judgment to plan the shifts, services, and patient care.
Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments, ensuring that population appropriate patient care is given and is accountable for maintaining productivity standards and justifying variances to unit manager or designee.
Respond to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.
Facilitate availability of adequate material, resources and supplies.
