About The Position

Holy Cross Hospital - Davis, a 220-bed hospital, serves the communities of northern Utah with a broad range of services and advanced medical technology. They recently opened a new healthcare facility, the Weber Campus, offering emergency care, radiology, mammography, and 24/7 laboratory services. The location provides easy access to outdoor activities and nearby cities like Ogden and Salt Lake City. As an RN Clinical Coordinator, you will support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit. You will act as a clinical nurse and resource to the staff, authorize work procedures, assign duties, and serve as shift charge. This role emphasizes strong clinical judgment, high-quality patient care, and seamless communication between physicians, the patient care team, and unit staff. You will also provide input on coaching, mentoring, and performance management, and be accountable for facilitating patient needs and promoting optimal health and safety through the nursing process. The role involves acting as a professional role model and may include taking patient assignments based on unit and patient needs.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing (Nursing Diploma or by endorsement) required
  • RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.

  • BSN, preferred
  • Nursing Specialty Certification, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical and department activities for the unit.

  • Facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team and patient/family to identify and meet patient needs.
  • Act as a professional role model for all staff.
  • Promote the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient.
  • Serve on the unit as a registered nurse and may take patient assignments.
  • Be personally accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
