About The Position

Join Saint Luke's Physician Group as a Clinic Float RN. This is a full-time position with day shifts, Monday through Friday. The role requires the nurse to float to clinics in both the East and Central Regions of Missouri and Kansas. Differential wage rates apply based on the number of regions covered (Tier 1: 1 region, Tier 2: 2 regions, Tier 3: 3 or 4 regions). The position involves providing professional nursing care, telephone triage, managing patient flow, coordinating patient care, scheduling appointments, educating patients and families, administering medication via IV, delegating tasks to clinical staff, documenting patient care, and entering admission orders. The nurse will also manage expired samples, work autonomously and in a team, and may cover Medical Assistant or LPN duties as needed. Excellent customer service and a professional demeanor are essential.

Requirements

Less than 1 year of applicable experience
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
Registered Nurse - Various
Associate Degree
MO and KS RN Required
BLS Required

Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
Responsible for telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care.
Schedules emergent need patient appointments.
Identifies learning needs for patients and families, provide advice and recommendations.
Inserts intravenous access with medication administration.
Delegates tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
Subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing.
Enters admission orders as directed by provider.
Responsible for managing expired samples.
May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties, LPN job duties, or other office duties as needed.
