About The Position

Join our amazing Saint Luke's Physician Group as a Clinic Float RN! This is a Full Time Days position, Monday - Friday. This role requires an MO and KS RN license and BLS certification. The Clinic Float RN will float to our East and Central Regions. The East Region includes clinics on or near the Saint Luke’s East campus, Blue Springs, and Independence. The Central Region includes clinics on or near the Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City (Plaza) campus. Differential wage rates are offered for clinic float pool positions based on tier (Tier 1 = 1 region, Tier 2 = 2 regions, Tier 3 = 3 or 4 regions). In a clinic setting, this role provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Responsibilities include telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care. The RN will schedule emergent need patient appointments, identify learning needs for patients and families, provide advice and recommendations, insert intravenous access with medication administration, and perform other duties as assigned based on clinic need. The role delegates tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice. The RN will act as a subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing. They will enter admission orders as directed by a provider and manage expired samples. The position requires the ability to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously, with excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor at all times. The RN may be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties, LPN job duties, or other office duties as needed.

Requirements

MO and KS RN Required
BLS Required
Less than 1 year Applicable Experience
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
Registered Nurse - Various
Associate Degree

Responsibilities
